Quest for the Crystal
Official Contest Rules/Rules and Regulations of the Quest
1. If you partake in the Quest, you agree to abide by all rules and regulations.
2. How to Partake in this Quest: You will need a copy of The Caledon Crystal and access to the internet. Clues are buried within the book and online. The prizes will be hidden at various locations around the world by the end of the Quest. In order to ensure the safety of all Questors, the prizes are not currently hidden, so do not go looking for them. The Questors who successfully use their skill and intellect to decipher to ongoing clues will be led to the precise location, date, and time to claim their prize. There will be a limited number of prizes awarded, the first Questors to claim the prizes will be the winners. Questors must satisfy all eligibility requirements and follow all rules and regulations set out here at all times during the Quest to claim their prize. The Quest officially began October 1, 2007 and will end when all prizes are claimed or by the end date of September 30, 2008 whichever comes sooner. A minimum of 600 prizes will be awarded.
3. Solutions to the Quest will be published on this website after the end date.
4. Questor Conduct: All Questors are expected to follow all rules and laws while participating in the Quest. Prizes are located in public places and not in any dangerous or inaccessible areas. Any destruction or personal or real property by the Questor is expressly forbidden. Any Questor who breaks the law or causes harm to real or personal property, person, places, or objects will face prosecution by legal authorities.
5. By participating in the Quest, Questors agree to be bound by all of the rules and regulations. In addition, Questors agree to abide by the interpretation of the rules as determined by the sponsor(s). Sponsor(s) shall have final decision on the interpretation and application of all rules. Sponsor(s) reserve the right to refuse awarding the prize to any Questor who, as determined by the sponsor(s), has broken these rules.
6. Release of liability: By participating in the Quest, Questors agree to be bound by all of the rules and regulations as determined by the sponsor(s) which are final and binding. Questors agree to release sponsor(s) from any and all liability, loss, damage, or injury resulting from participation in this Quest as well as finding, using, or misusing, receipt, and possession of the the prize awarded. Questors release sponsor(s) from any implies or real warranty, representation, or guarantee of the prize awarded, express or implies, in fact or in law, relative to the prize including, but not limited to its quality, condition, value.
7. The QUEST FOR THE CRYSTAL Contest is open to all entrants anywhere in the world with the exception of the following: employees of The Wand Shop, ARH Books, or their immediate families or those living in the same household with the above. The contest is sponsored by ARH Books. One prize per address, household, or name.
8. Prizes are provided by The Wand Shop. The number of prizes to be awarded will be determined by the success of the Questors. A minimum of TEN prizes will be hidden in each of the 50 United States.
9. Entrants MUST BE 18 YEARS of AGE on the first day of the contest in order to participate in the contest and to claim their prize. Entrants under 18 years of age on September 30, 2007 require the signature of a legal guardian to enter this contest. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. Signature of entrant or legal guardian is REQUIRED for all prize winners under the age of eighteen.
10. Winner names and images may be released and used for publicity or may be posted on this page as successful Questors. By claiming their prize, entrants give their express permission to be contacted by the sponsors and to have their names appear online as winners.
11. Approximate value of Prizes awarded is $5.00 each prize. All prizes will be awarded. Prizes are not transferable. No prize substitution or cash redemption allowed except by sponsors.
12. No purchase required though Questors will need a copy of The Caledon Crystal (book, ISBN978-0-979-8639-2-9 List$21.99) for further clues.
13. By entering this contest, entrants agree to abide by all Official Rules stated herein. Sponsors are not responsible for any activities the Questor partakes in as part of this Quest. By entering this contest, entrants release sponsors from ALL liability related to this contest. By entering this contest, winners release sponsors from ALL liabilities related to the prizes awarded in this contest. All decisions are final. All other rules apply.
14. Successful Questors will be required to provide proof of eligibility as determined by sponsor(s).
